Abstract:
A possible tragic iambic trimeter can be recovered in Χenophon’s Cyropaedia 2, 4, 16 (ἄκουε τοίνυν, ἤν τί σοι δόξω λέγειν). Critical notes on four fragments of Euripides: 46a, V. 7 τηλίκους (Körte) a tragico sermone alienum, V. 8 lege ὃν caesurae gratia (Snell); 502, 6 lege γὰρ (codd.: δὲ Gesner); 506, 5 delendus; 1079 lacuna post v. 1?, V. 4 κἀκγαληνίζει? (καὶ γαληνίζει codd.); and on the Vita Euripidis: Τ 1, 31-2 lege ἐν Ἀθήνησιν (codd.: ἐν del. Nauck). Explanatory material and exegetical notes on fragments 502, 506 and 1079.
